ESET UPDATES

New ESET business product features include the recently launched Secure Authentication Cloud and ESET Rollback. We will also share what we’ve learned from our recent big launches with feedback from both partners and end-users with a special focus on profitability, management and time-savings. You’ll get to check out demo’s of ESET’s new features and also quickly recap on some of the strong points of ESET Protect Elite & MDR, including the Vulnerability Assessment and Patch management features. Protect Elite and MDR are the best possible cover solutions for cyber-insurance requirements. Bringing it home, we’ll be unveiling the latest Threat Intelligence insights from ESET. This in-depth analysis will compare New Zealand’s threat landscape with global attack trends, providing a comprehensive view of how local threats stack up internationally. Additionally, we’ll examine the latest breach trends impacting New Zealand, offering critical insights into the challenges our region faces.

ESET HIGHLIGHTS

Vulnerability & Patch Management Improvements

ESET understands all too well that threat actors continuously target an increasingly broad spectrum of devices, systems, and software. With our new update, ESET V&PM has expanded to support Linux1 (desktops and servers), as well as macOS2, covering broader parts of a business’ ecosystem.

To support such a comprehensive endeavor, the V&PM module is now also presented in a new dashboard, improved for greater visibility and transparency, enhancing its ease of use while giving an instant overview of vulnerability and patching status across a network. Due to ESET V&PM’s deep embedding inside the ESET PROTECT Platform, it now also supports on-demand vulnerability scanning, enabling instant insight into the status of specific machines.

While as a default, vulnerability scanning is fully automated to save you time and close the attack gap against threat actors, for Windows and Linux servers, the product gives manual control to its administrators. This is especially useful in helping security admins have more oversight over their scanning and patching processes, so that they don’t interrupt business workflows

Awareness Training & Phishing Simulations

SECURITY AWARNESS TRAINING
ESET Cybersecurity Awareness Training is specifically designed to educate your workforce—because employees who recognize phishing, avoid online scams and understand internet best practices add a vital layer of protection for your business. Developed by ESET researchers and educators, this comprehensive online course takes under an hour to complete. Employees enjoy an engaging learning experience through gamified quizzes, interactive sessions and role playing.

PHISHING SIMULATIONS
We frequently highlight how every territory is unique. Somewhere as close as Australia can be targeted by a specific breach attempt. This goes beyond borders though, and is also true for organizations! This especially holds true for phishing attacks, where with the help of GEN AI, it’s easier than ever to design targeted attacks. With ESET’s Cybersecurity Awareness Training module, you’ll have access to pre-designed templates that are created especially for NZ, using well known cultural references and brands. Better yet –  you can even design your own! On top of this, you can also export your phishing simulation template and share it with others.

You’ll also have access to a dashboard that lets you track who is falling for what, and point them the the relevant training.

ESET Home Security

In 2023, ESET was awarded Best in Class by AV-Comparatives for having the lowest impact on system performance compared to our key competitors. ESET’s technology marries high-speed performance with rock-solid digital security—maximizing speed, minimizing risk. As the threat landscape is ever evolving, so too are the offerings from ESET.

ESET HOME
is a user-friendly platform that allows users to activate and renew their subscriptions, add and protect new devices, and download or upgrade their security solution. Share your subscription with friends and family or monitor your security status. Enable powerful functionalities like Browser Privacy and Security, VPN security, Password Manager, and more. ESET HOME is available via web portal or mobile application. End-users now require an account to activate and manage their ESET Subscription.

In the ESET home range, we’ll be detailing the new Folder Guard and Identity Protection modules plus updates to the Password Manager, and how our partners have enjoyed using the ESET Home account to increase customer maintenance and satisfaction while also enjoying the enablement of offerings including higher end licenses and additional services. The Mac product has also just been rebuilt with additional features, this combined with the Password Manager and VPN also operating on Macs has seen quite a large uptake in Mac licensing.
