The Imperva VIP Capture the Flag (CTF) took place at this year’s CybersecCon, New Zealand’s largest cybersecurity event!

Event Overview

Imperva Data Security Capture the Flag (CTF) provides participants with a realistic and challenging scenario to sharpen their skills in identifying, mitigating, and responding to insider threats within a database environment. It also serves as a reminder of the importance of maintain robust security measures to protect sensitive corporate data from insider threats. This scenario is set in a fictional company called “MyCompany Corp”. Participants will play the role of security analysts tasked with uncovering insider threats in a realistic database environment.

Scenario Background

MyCompany Corp is a Telecom Retail services company that has recently experienced a series of data breaches and unauthorized access incidents, which have raised concerns about insider threats within the organization. It is suspected that disgruntled employees or contractors might be responsible for these incidents. As part of an effort to strengthen their security posture, MyCompany Corp has implemented Imperva Data Risk Analytics (DRA) to detect, mitigate and respond to these data breaches.

Notes

No prior experience with Imperva products is required. Simply bring your laptop along and our event hosts will train you in how to successfully complete the scenario task!  

To participate, you are required to bring your own laptop.
