ESET HOME Update Notice & Instructions

As you may have seen in our webinars ESET has released ESET Home for consumer customers.

ESET Home is a management portal site for the customer to safeguard their devices, access the features their protection offers, share their protection and manage devices. All ESET subscriptions must be connected to an ESET Home account with the customer’s email. Using a reseller email will render them unable to use their subscription and features.

To ensure your clients can manage and use all their product features, please ensure their details have been correctly updated.

Client update instructions

The process requires a unique email in the Hilda reseller portal under the licensee email section.

If you have ticked the below box in the reseller portal – Renewals will be sent to the end user, If this is not ticked emails are sent direct to the reseller’s agreed email address.

Renewal of Subscriptions is possible through the ESET Home site, it will alert clients when thieir subscription is close to expiry. This is over and above the renewal reminders direct clients/ resellers receive.

Attempting to renew as a customer who purchased through a reseller will display this page as the process is still run through our local E-shop. It will provide the customer with the reseller name and phone number to process their renewal.

Renewals through our E-shop are ONLY possible when there are 7 days remaining before their subscription expires Note Chillisoft take a 5% fee for these renewals and is a ssafety netto prevent potential lapses.

ESET HOME is a user-friendly platform that allows users to activate and renew their subscriptions, add and protect new devices, and download or upgrade their security solution. Share your subscription with friends and family or monitor your security status. Enable powerful functionalities like Browser Privacy and Security, VPN security, Password Manager, and more. ESET HOME is available via web portal or mobile application.

Device Management

Device management enables you to access information about devices with ESET products connected to your ESET HOME account or computers activated by subscriptions managed by your account, as well as to deactivate your ESET product on a device.

Subscription management

Subscription management enables you to see essential information regarding each subscription, the subscription status, the subscription expiration date, the number of activated devices, and, if applicable, subscription overuse or expired subscription warnings. You can also share a subscription with other users.

ESET Anti-Theft

SET Anti-Theft is a specialized feature of ESET security products for home users. ESET Anti-Theft uses technologies such as geographical IP address lookup, web camera image capture, user account protection, and device monitoring. These features may help you and law enforcement organizations locate your laptop or mobile device if ever lost or stolen. ESET Anti-Theft connects your ESET product with the ESET HOME portal to let you see the activity taking place on your computer or mobile device in a web browser on any device, making it easier to track down your device.

ESET Anti-Theft is not available as a standalone application but as a feature in the following products:

•ESET Smart Security Premium (Windows)

•ESET Internet Security (Windows)

•ESET Mobile Security (Android)

ESET Parental Control

ESET Parental Control web service works in addition to the ESET Parental Control application that protects children from threats on their smartphones and tablets. The application is a standalone Android application completely integrated with ESET HOME so that parents can monitor and adjust their child’s online activity, not just from the ESET Parental Control application but also any web browser by signing in to their ESET HOME account.

ESET Password Manager

ESET Password Manager is a part of the ESET Small Business Security, ESET Security Ultimate and ESET Smart Security Premium subscription. This feature protects and stores your passwords and personal data and includes a form completion feature that saves time by completing web forms automatically and accurately.
ESET Password Manager is available as an application for iOS and Android systems and as a browser extension.

ESET VPN

ESET VPN (Virtual Private Network) feature is part of the ESET Small Business Security and ESET HOME Security Ultimate package. VPN allows users to establish a private network connection when using public and private networks.
