Chillisoft is a specialist cybersecurity distributor, representing industry-leading vendors in New Zealand, Australia, and throughout the South Pacific. Channel-first, we back our partners and users with highly-competent pre-sales, implementation services, product training, and great support to ensure best possible results.
Our products can be used as standalone point-solutions, or in complementary combinations addressing the complex cybersecurity puzzle.
Today we have around 25 staff, some of whom have worked here for 10+ years, and partners and customers with whom we have worked for 20+ years.
Much modern business is conducted online and we’ve invested significantly in self-serve systems and processes to enable fast, accurate transactions wherever possible. We hold regular online training and product-information events that can be attended by customers and partners from anywhere.
Online events are convenient and effective for wide geographical spread, but we also love in-person so we conduct and attend a wide range of events throughout Australia, Fiji and NZ. Our largest annual event is CybersecCon in Auckland, which had 400+ registrations in 2022. We hope to see you at an event in-person or online soon !
You won’t see us putting this front-of house but we’re grateful for our ongoing good fortune and are pleased to be able to support some extremely effective charities and also provide scholarships for the next generation’s cybersecurity professionals at University of Auckland and AUT.
HISTORY
1998 – Business is founded to distribute Australian developed antivirus product VET, from Cybec in NZ. We also consult in help-desk systems and custom software development projects.
2000 – Cybec is purchased by Computer Associates who have an established distribution channel so we end that relationship and focus on our other activities.
2002 – Relationship begins with emerging European endpoint security vendor ESET.
2006 – Awarded our first vendor awards from ESET for growth and for customer retention.
2018 – Founder Geoff Cossey wants to spend more time fishing. After a 9 month selection process highly-experienced cybersecurity executive Alex Teh is welcomed as new CEO and shareholder. A business strategy review results in the decision to broaden the vendor mix across a wider spectrum of cybersecurity needs.
2019 – 2023 Distribution agreements are signed with the vendors listed here.
