Between 2006 to 2010, Chillisoft placed in the Deloitte NZ Technology Fast50 of Asia Pacific. These acknowledgements recognized the speed of growth Chillisoft accomplished within this time period. In 2010, Chillisoft placed alongside 50 other New Zealand based tech companies. This was the first time such a large number of Kiwi companies ranked on the list, with the occurrence shining light on the overall growth trend of New Zealand’s tech sector as the country experienced a digital boom. When taking country population size in consideration, New Zealand achieved by far the largest representation of companies on the list.
Scoop Business reported on this placing, providing quote from the Fast 50 program leader Matt McKendry, who noted the New Zealand businesses listed were operating in “highly competitive regional and global technology markets where they don’t have a natural competitive advantage, unlike many of New Zealand’s primary sector businesses”. According to Scoop, Mr McKendry went on to commend New Zealand tech businesses on their innovation and being able to match the best technology entrepreneurs int he world, particularly with strong performance of basics without losing sight of their strategy and vision.
